Here at Te Mahoerangi Eco Lodge we have David, Sarah, a lazy cat and 4 very productive chickens. You are welcome to share this magical corner of the Sounds that we are making our home.
We have been involved in the environmental movement for many years. The last 10 have been spent sailing for Greenpeace on their flagship 'Rainbow Warrior'. We are in a good position to carry on the environmental work that has preceded us here and keep the pesticide 1080 out of Nydia Bay.
Our goal at the lodge is to reduce the environmental footprint that both we and our guests make. This is an ongoing process that will evolve over the coming years. Our current project is installing some solar power.
